Well then since our short friend was too impulsive to make any attempt to lure out the coin purse, and there is nothing I can do to help him. I turn to Orellow.
"Well Ore, how bout the exit over here? It seems like shorty there will retrieve my new belt pouch just fine upon his own."
With a final look about this room I head to bout ten paces from the entrance to the cave out of here.(not knowing that shorty is bout to become shorty and stoney lol)

Orellow sighs. "Let us hope so, Knuckles" he says and turns from the cave, heading toward the 40 foot cliff. He looks up and puts away his cross bow for his rope spinning it around.
(DC for successful rope and climbing? Or can we just say Orellow succeeds after a while?)

The cavern is empty aside from a few bugs. The floors are uneven, and there is some dripping water near the center of the room. After a try or two you land your hook (DC 18, athletics+Dex Mod) climbing up is fairly easy, if time consuming. (DC 5, athletics + Str Mod) when you read the top a short tunnel leads off in to the darkness.

Lyle forces his limbs to move his sword which now feels like lifting a boulder and pushes it as hard as he can towards the creature then swoops up a low kick directly underneath the birds legs.

While Orellow slowly and cumbersomely climbs up the rope, I am going to take a quick look down the tunnel.

Lyle, Your body beings seizing up, and though you try your best to make it respond, it doesn't. You can't even feel it anymore, just extra weight at the shoulder. As if you were carrying an arm shaped rock. The bird's mad pecking continues ceaselessly, and you block with your stone arm. You manage to land a solid shot with your fist that knocks the thing to the ground. It lays there unmoving, and the stark contrast between the incessant movement of it's furious attacks to the stillness of its death is jolting. It now seems too quiet in this small cave. After a few seconds you realize that the stone that was enveloping you is gone, and you can move freely.
+100 exp Lyle
Orellow scales the rope like a champ, even faster than you did Knuckles (though you would never admit that) the path ahead continues for a short distance, ending abruptly in a wall of webs.

The webs form a vertical sheet, an are so thickly interwoven that you can't see past the sheet to whatever lay beyond. The sounds of combat drifting up from below cease, either the angry bird thing is dead or the Halfling has fallen to it. You stand before the sheet for a little while, but you don't hear a sound through the webbing.

(The tunnel leading to the webbing is sixty feet long. I wasn't home to look at my map.)
Hacking through the webbing is easy enough. Once you do, you can see further into the tunnel. Ten feet in front of you is another ten by ten by five foot websheet. The tunnel moves off to the left and right on an angle as well.

Orellow cringes at the yelling dwarf and gives him a side long look before sighing. "Makes one wonder how such a stout creature has such a big mouth" He laughs and he draws his short sword as he swings his torch left and right examining the walls of the caves. He stays a respectable distance from the dwarf

As you walk to the next websheet, a few darts fire out of the walls from different angles. All of them plink uselessly off your armour. When you look at the darts, they all have a greenish smeer near their tips. You reach the next websheet and hack it down without issue. The next area is another square like the last couple, only this time the websheets are to the left and right, and there is a wall in front of you.

(OOC: I drew up a player map, and sent it via messenger. It's way more clear than the mess of ASCII I was sending before. To anyone that wants to see the map from here on out, just PM me and I will make it happen.) Knuckles, you hack through another websheet revealing more of this twisted maze of websheets and walls. The tunnel revealed heads off and turns to the right. Orellow, you follow along behind Knuckles and darts plink off of your armour as well. Annoyed you look around for the culprit, and notice eyes reflecting in the darkness along the ceiling. When the light is shifted to show where they were, the creature skitters off into the darkness. (OOC: Ready action to dodge any further incoming attacks. Also, 10+4=14 wisdom check to recall if Orellow's father and him have faced such a creature before, I know its likely to fail but hey its worth a shot
DM-Delfon: recalling information is Int based, and no you don't recall any direct encounter with them. You've heard stories about creatures that travel with spiders, set traps and have a poisonous bite though.)

"Well then there is only one thing to do when the enemy is to cowardly to face us like the slime they are! That is to press on and force them out."
I shall continue to hack my way through the webs trying to keep an even closer look out for these cowards. Also pay more attention for ambushes, I am sure one is bout to happen, or so it thinks.

Before you two can press onward, you can hear the voice of Biggs calling into the rhombus room, "Orellow! Orellow! There is a messenger topside for you. The Halfling and the Dwarf will have to prance around without you for a while." When you get topside, you find a man in a bright clean shirt, a white vest and shorts that are entirely too short. His legs are splattered with mud up past the knee. A flag sticking out of his backpack proclaims him the Clifton Mail Service. His long angular face is flushed from exertion, and his eyes are wide as if constantly surprised. He introduces himself as Greg, and presents you with a letter in a hand unknown to you. It reads: "Orellow, I have an asignment for you. Meet a fellow by the name of Embros at the Wayfarer's Rest for details. -Stranger by the riverside."
With his assignment complete, Greg waits a moment in case of a tip, and then heads up to Biggs. There is always mail to be taken from the Sinkhole back to town.
Knuckles, eight different websheets hang in the exposed area, not all of which you can see from where you stand. Depending on which one you choose to break next, anything can happen... Where to?

Orellow smiles as he reads the letter. "For a Watcher of the Waves this one does not dally" He laughs to himself after the messenger has gone and head to the road leading away from the sink hole. He stops at the start of the road and squats down and stands up, as well as various other stretches before, winding himself up and taking off down the road at top speed. Orellow has little intention of disappointing his new "friend".

Knuckles, turning to your left you carefully move along the corridor. A websheet hangs to your left, and ahead another brings up that path short. A second path branches to the right on an angle, following that path to the next websheet, a few darts fire out of the walls from different angles. Once more all of them plink uselessly off your armour. The light of your torch shows that once again the darts all have a greenish smeer near their tips. Finally reaching the next websheet, you hack through it without much trouble. A path with a sharp jut to the right extends before you, two websheets are exposed, one of which you suspect you've seen the other side of in the last corridor. The other is at the end of the newly revealed path.
(Traps are marked with a T on the map sent via facebook messenger.)

I am grabbing all of the greenish smeared darts that I can find.
Turning towards the right I mutter "Why does it feel like I am slamming my empty tankard upon the table repeatedly all the while getting nowhere?"
I shall hack through the webs that I believe makes me going in a circle. "Because I am just slamming my empty tankard down. Where's that damm wench when I need her?"
I then turn my attention to the direction that doesn't look familiar to me. I keep an extra sharp look out while hacking my way through.

(Knuckles, you can get up to 3 darts per dart trap, each dart has a 50% chance to survive bouncing off you. Feel free to roll it offline, and add recovered darts to your sheet.)
You stomp over to the first websheet only to hear the plink, plink, plink of darts bouncing off your armour. A few quick swipes of your weapon and the websheet falls away. As you suspected, with the websheet removed you reveal an area you recognize.
Grumbling your way over to the other websheet you hack it down, and feel the plink, plink, plink of another set of darts. With the second websheet down you reveal a wall five feet away, with two more websheets. One to the left and one to the right.

You pivot to your left, and hack down another websheet. As the threads are hacked away, they reveal a tunnel that moves off at an angle for between five and ten feet before bending back to the right and out of sight. This newly revealed hallway is completely devoid of webbing. It's about this time that you hear a splort sound from above and behind you. You feel a warm, wet impact between your shoulders. That's when you realize that thick sticky webbing has enveloped your torso, arms and legs. You feel restrained by the webbing. Roll Init.
