With an extreme amount of colorful metaphors I start to power my way out of the webbing. 12+6=18 athletics 13+3=16 init.
If I do not succeed at removing the webbing and the ambushing spider is within range I shall make a stunning impressive attempt to kill it. 10+6=16 Attack roll 4+3=7 Damage.

The Ettercap scurries along the wall, darting down to sink it's mandibles into the flesh of your shoulder. You wriggle when you should have ducked and the mandibles sink deep into your neck instead of your shoulder (critical). If you're somehow still up after that, then you manage to escape and your weapon strikes true. Otherwise, please roll death saves until you stabilize or die. Nobody is coming to save you.
Init: Ettercap, Knuckles Damage: 14 Physical, 14 Poison = 28.

With a scream of pain for the unexpected ferocity of the attack from my unknown attacker, I gracefully collapse into a heap of my own blood.
Some time later(1 hour) I awaken. "What the F*** happened I exclaim, still in a lot of pain. That was a serious pain in the neck. WHERE THE HELL IS ALL OF MY EXTREMELY HARD EARNED GEAR!" I shout! After finishing a short rest I shall set out to find it, and destroy whatever it is that stole from me. 'It/they will rue the day that they crossed me, this I swear.' I think as I plop myself down to rest. Still keeping an eye upon my surroundings though.
Rolls: Poison Save (advantage): 3+7=10 (fail), 5+7=12 (pass) Death Saves: 12 (pass), 9 (fail), 16 (pass), 2 (fail), 15 Stabilized. Perception: 11+2=13.

You wake up slowly, feeling like the day after you've been drinking for a year straight. No, hungover doesn't really describe how you feel. More like your blood feels like it is made of fire, and your stomach is rolling like you're going to throw up at any moment. That's about when your neck wound begins to hurt. Remember how your blood felt like fire? Well your wounded neck is the sun. Angry and red, it is still oozing a green ichor. The cold dungeon floor almost feels nice against your internally burning flesh, but you know it's not a good idea to laze about in a dungeon so you fight your way to your feet.
Having only thrown up three times you take stock of your surroundings. Back the way you came you can see your left boot resting peacefully in the webbing sheet that you left hanging when you turned to the left before. Looking further into the dungeon you can see that the tunnel opens into a chamber some twenty feet away. It appears that there is a shaft leading down in that chamber. Hanging from the ceiling in the center of the shaft is a rope pulled taut. Upon looking a little closer, this chamber is almost perfectly square and so is the shaft cut in the floor. A five foot wide area of floor surrounds the shaft, so you can walk all the way around it without falling in to the depths.

(short rest gained me 15 hp (d12+5) 10+5=15 new hp total 16)
For the first minute or 2 I seriously consider throwing up a fourth time. Upon gathering my senses a few minutes later, a terrifying anger flows over me when I see my boot hanging i the webbing. Without hesitation I turn towards my left boot of butt kicking and head for it. Upon arrival the first thing I do is to re-equip my boot then destroy the entire webbing sheet that is here.

Lyle stretches his arms out "Man talk about fighting cramps, i thought my arms were going to fall off" Lyle grabs the bird. "I wonder if this can be used for anything or maybe even eaten, i'll let the others decide" Lyle says to himself.
Lyle exits the small cavern and looks around to see if he can find the others. "Hello?!" Lyle yells out as he looks around himself even harder. "I wonder where they went."

Knuckles, you manage to rip your left boot from the webbing sheet. Your gait is a little off now that your left foot is a little higher off the ground than your right foot, but you will manage. Tearing down the web sheet is a lot more difficult without a slashing weapon, but you manage to pull it off. The webbing keeps sticking to whatever part of you is used to remove it, and before long your hands and arms are thoroughly covered in webbing. It takes almost a minute to free yourself from the tiny sticky threads.
Lyle, you hear a loud echoing voice from the tunnel that is opposite the one you entered the rhombus shaped cavern. You think it might be the Dwarf shouting about something, he sounds pissed off, but with the echo you can't really make out what he is actually saying. Other than that, things seem to have settled down in your vicinity.

"Oh man he doesn't sound happy" Lyle says to himself "No point in waiting here may as well see whats going on" Lyle heads out of the large cavern towards the voice of the Dwarf shouting. As Lyle walks towards the voice he keeps an eyes open for either the other people in the cavern or other dangers that may be lurking.

Lyle, you find the naked Dwarf Knuckles. Well not naked, he wears a boot on his left foot. He seems really pissed off. When you get a bit closer, you see that something has taken a bite out of his neck. The wound is red, puffy and swollen. Someone, likely the Dwarf, has wiped up the wound, but it has not been tended. Knuckles, this is about when you see Lyle.

Lyle examines the dwarfs wound knowing nothing about medicine or creature bites he just shrugs it off as non lethal. "Looks like you got in quite the heated fight with something hungry" Lyle says with a chuckle in his voice. "We should try to get you topside to get theses wounds attended to and get you some new clothes." Lyle looks around the cavern cautiously, "What's the plan, going to go up or continue to go down?"

With that I take a quick look around. then turn either back to the webbing and continue on or whatever else may be sneaking up on us.

(For simplicity's sake I'm going to say that Knuckles heard Lyle, and came out to meet him. Rather than having Lyle wander through the Ettercap maze alone. Lyle was standing where the "L" is in a circle, and Knuckles was standing here the "K" is. I'm going to say that you both meet in the 60ft hall leading from the Rhombus room to the ettercap maze.) Lyle follows knuckles through the unfamiliar terrain, Lyle notices the dwarf appears to be in quite the hurry.
Suddenly dart comes from seemingly out of nowhere and jabs Lyle in the leg, a second dart flies towards him a few steps away but whirs past the halflings ear.
"I thought you said you knew where the traps were!?" Exclamimed Lyle looking at the slight bump the dart had made. "I don't feel so good all of a sudden..."
Lyle clenches at his wound "I can't go on today." He says shakily. Lyle bids farewell to the dwarf and proceed to the exit, stopping at the entrance to catch his breath.

Lyle, you make it back to the sinkhole uneventfully. One of the guards tends to your wounds, and Biggs assigns you a bunk for the night. He says, "I might just have a special task for you in the morning, if you're feeling up for it of course. You look a little worse for wear." After giving your report to the Dwarf, you collapse into your bunk and sleep the sleep of the dead. (long rest!)
Knuckles, you know that the most direct route will take you through two trapped areas. What is your plan Sir?

Lyle stumbles around in the darkness and eventually walks back to his bunk unintentionally.
"Hmm...maybe I'll wait for someone who knows about this place." Lyle lays back in the bunk and awaits the return of Biggs. When Biggs doesn't return Lyle decides to check outside in hopes he may find someone.

In response to your shouting, a massive glob of white sails out of the darkness. It slams into your chest knocking you into the wall near the floor. You find it hard to move, your limbs seem glued together and to the wall. You see a familiar creature skulking near the ceiling, he skitters up and over the wall to the east. You feel like he's mocking you, leaving you bound but not bothering to finish you off.
Rolls: Web Attack: 20+4=24 (Nat 20)
Web Rules: The creature is restrained by webbing. As an action, the restrained creature can make a DC 11 Strength check, escaping from the webbing on a success. The effect also ends if the webbing is destroyed. The webbing has AC 10, 5 hit points, vulnerability to fire damage, and immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage. DM hand wave, because of the natural 20 attack roll you have disadvantage.

After what feels like a couple of days worth of struggling, I finally manage to rip the webs off of me. Upon getting a better look at the coward, i am going to attempt to take a different approach.
"Man what a cheap shot. Who hits people in the back? Big time dirty move." Then thinks to myself, well I probably would hit him in the back as well I then proceed to use the webbing as a form of a climbers kit and scale up the wall. I want to be on top of it.
If I can make it to the top I will take a quick look around. Specifically looking for my gear, then the coward.

It takes a few tries to pry yourself from the wall and floor Each time you manage to free a part of yourself, it gets stuck again as you try to free something else. Eventually you do manage however, and you're going to randomly find sticky spots as you move until you find the time to get a good scrub in. Trying to use this to your advantage, you manage to mostly climb and partly stick your way to the top of the nearest wall. Once up here you have a slightly better view of things. The top section is cramped, but passable. Although you wouldn't want to get into combat up here with the ceiling just four feet above the top of the walls. Try as you might, you can't seem to catch sight of your assailant. Maze ImageYou're either on top of the triangle above and to the left of the "K" on the map, or below and to the left. The areas with horizontal hatch marks represent areas that you can climb on top of the walls.

Soon as I have my bearings about me(top left of k), and I have no sightings as to where that vile son of a... is. I am setting myself upon an task of the highest of importance. I am going to use this vantage point to attempt to find my gear. I would like to try and do this as quietly as Dwarfly possible. If it is possible for me to move along the tops of the walls I will do so. But gall dang it I must find the absolute most important item in all of the infinite realms of the heavens and Hell's...My other BOOT!
Any webbing that I come across along my path I will quietly cut up, in an effort to hamper that vile....'s advantage over me. If I see any of my gear on the ground I shall descend and retrieve it. Using the webbing that is about as a rope.

From the top of the pillar you're on, you can reach some of two different web sheets, however you can't actually destroy them from up here since you can't reach most of their surface. The gap between all the pillars is about 5ft, a little less on the diagonal paths. From where you are currently, you can reach 4 different pillars. Three of which are triangular pillars. All of them are 5ft away. The first is down and to the left. The next is up and to the left. The last is almost straight up. If you want a slightly easier run, a parallelogram platform can be reached diagonally up and to your right. If you instead choose to get down, you can get down along any of the faces of the triangle pillar you're on top of. From your vantage point you can't seem to spot the vile creature that keeps harassing you in it's own home, but you do manage to see your missing boot. It sits on top of the triangular pillar that is as far up and to the left as possible.
Game Mechanics: Strength Athletics DC 20 to cross a 5ft gap while hampered by the low ceiling, or Dexterity Acrobatics DC 15. Crossing a diagonal path is somewhat simpler because of the smaller distance, so reduce those DCs by 5. If you fail by 5 or more you fall and take 1d6 bludgeoning damage, and potentially face a trap with disadvantage on that save or granting the trap advantage on it's attack roll. Getting down is DC 10 using either skill mentioned above.

You try to cross the first gap using the web sheet, and just end up getting your hand hopelessly tangled in the webbing. Eventually you manage to free yourself from that sticky situation. Having now decided that using the web sheets is a bad idea, you work your way across the gaps to where your boot is without incident. From your new vantage point you can see the makings of an ancient bridge spanning off to the North. About 40ft below you can see a river bordered by a narrow stone path flowing to the East. To the West you can hear the familiar chittering of the creature that took your stuff, but when you look in that direction you don't see the creature. There is however a platform of land sticking out over the river in that direction, and you can see the makings of a chamber beyond that.
