(I've taken some liberties here, if you want to make any changes just PM me and we can discuss them.)
You pause in the reef, taking one last look back at Neptas. This place has been your home for almost a year now. Ever since Eeriedansana found you, mostly dead after an encounter with a Morkoth. You should have been dead. You basically were dead. It took weeks to recover from your wounds, and months more to prove yourself to Aira'vastan, the General of Neptas and Eeriedansana's father. That man defends Neptas, and keeps it's location secret. The most important rule in Neptas was that nobody goes to the surface. The surface dwellers can't ever EVER find Neptas.
Derenthil, the son of the current ruler of Neptas has married two of Aira'vastan's daughters and is betrothed to his third daughter Myst. Problem is, Myst has vanished. She vanished with enough of her father's equipment to explore the surface. Derenthil wants his betrothed back, and Aira'vastan wants his daughter back. Since the people of Neptas are not allowed to go to the surface, and you're not technically of Neptas... Aira'vastan has charged you with returning his daughter.
Before you left you gathered a bit of information as to why Myst might have left Neptas. Calipta, Aira'vastan's third daughter confided that Myst believed that the people of Clifton might be responsible for the recent rash of illness' in Neptas. What started as upset stomachs turned into vomiting, and now the sick are beginning to vomit blood. The worst part of the illness is the birth defects. Calipta would not speak of them, but she seemed terrified.
This must be why Deep Sashelas put you here. Like steps along a path, your injuries at the claws of the Morkoth, being found by Eeriedansana, becoming trusted by Aira'vastan, and now this quest to the surface world, to the city of Clifton. Deep Sashelas be praised.
You travel under the sea following the ships that traverse the surface world. Clifton is a port town, and those ships will lead you to your quarry. You begin to see more and more signs of surface dwellers. Refuse and debris litter the sea floor more and more frequently the closer you get to the city itself. Finally just after dawn the sea floor rises, there is land ahead... What now Shrayla?

Out of game Note:
I noticed that you didn't have a deity listed on your character sheet. I have provided an option here in your starting post. Below is some information about Deep Sashelas.
Deep Sashelas, whose titles include: The Lord of the Undersea, and The Dolphin Prince, is an Elven deity. Deep Sashelas is mainly worshiped by sea elves as he was their patron deity and creator. In each of their settlements is a temple dedicated to the Dolphin Prince that typically looked like a giant shell. Though sometimes other races seek him as a patron out of an interest in water magic.
