She starts to take a step back, seeing the rope out of the corner of her eye as she tries to figure out what to do. she is no match for three people infront of her. So she disengages and dives for the rope quickly tying to scramble down over the edge and down to where xanadu was.

You scramble for the rope, and descend about fifteen feet before you see the men above lean over the edge. He hacks the rope with his blade, and it gives a wobble from the impact that almost drops you from the line. You hear the thunder of hooves approaching Xanadu below. You climb another fifteen feet down the rope, desperate to reach the ground before it's too late. It's too little too late, as he finally manages to cut the rope completely. There is a brief moment of free fall where you're watching the rope coiling down toward you faster than you're falling. The moment is cut short however as you slam into the ground and the severed rope piles up on top of you.
As you lay there on the ground, chocking and sputtering as you try to draw breath. You hear a loud metallic smack, and an ear piercing screech of a metal horn grinding off of Xanadu's shield. Xanadu bellows with rage, and drives the business end of his war pick into the creature's shoulder. The man that spoke before leaps across the gap to the rope you used last time you were here. His blade held in his teeth as he uses his hands to start climbing down the rope.

The one that climbed down the rope crouched down on top of the same pillar that you leapt onto last time you were here. He sheathes his blade and pulls out a crossbow. He is a little hard to see in the dim light cast from your torch that now lays on the ground a few feet from you, thankfully still lit.
Xanadu hauls his pick back and smashes it off the top of the Gorgon’s head, a glancing blow that did little in the way of harm. Another rope uncoils to the floor near where yours was once hanging, and one of the other assailants begins climbing down after you. The Gorgon hisses out a cone of gas that hisses when it touches the flames of your torch.
I’m going to need a Con Save, then it’s the end of the round. Take your delayed turn or it’s lost.

"xanadu we have more company then just our gorgon friend." she says gesturing up to where the assailants are around them. "guess that creepy voice really meant it." she mutters under her breath as she starts to step towards xanadu but then thinks better about it. as she looks towards the gorgon. the water that normally stays in her water skin floats out and around her before moving with almost fish like movements over to the gorgon and swirling around its head. begining to change to a solid white color that looks like ice or snow in color. blocking the creatures vision.

You draw out the water, and coalesce it around the Gorgon's head. Between the water around it's head and the vines around it's legs it will be a struggle to attack Xanadu. Xanadu takes advantage of the creature being restrained, stepping a little to the side and smashing the creature in the side of the head with his pick. The assailants continue to climb down the rope, covered by their leader on the pillar. One of them is twenty feet above the ground, and another is thirty five feet off the ground. The Gorgon inhales deeply, and then breaths out another cloud of petrifaction gas.
You're up, and I will need another con save.

You feel your lungs crackle as they begin to solidify, but you close your eyes for a moment and focus on your breathing. After a couple breaths, your breathing returns to normal.
You rear your arm back, as the magic begins to coalesce around your fingers. The leader shifts his crossbow and shoots down at you, just cutting a faint line across your cheek (Miss). You throw the ice knife and it stabs into the man’s chest, he yanks it out as it explodes into a shower of jagged ice shards. He staggers, but manages to keep his perch.
Xanadu bellows as he rips his weapon free, and then slams it back into the creature. You’re not even sure he is aware of the human opposition from above.
The first of the three assailants reaches the ground. They pull out their weapon and advance on you, slashing as you duck and weave.
The Gorgon inhales again, breathing out another cloud of petrifying gas. (Con save please)

You enchant your staff, and rail it into the first guy’s ribs. He stumbles back coughing and sputtering. The second man finishes climbing down to you, and the two of them approach together. Xanadu breaks from his fight with the Gorgon, turning his back and getting slammed with a massive horn for his trouble. With an angry shout he buries his pick to the hilt in the new man’s skull. Ripping it forward out of the man’s now destroyed face. He points the pick, still dripping with a mixture of gray and red at the wounded man, “Piss off until the Gorgon is dealt with.” He shouts, before moving back toward the Gorgon. The wounded man glances up the rope to see his companion still climbing down. Knowing that help is coming he approaches, but keeps his attention on defending himself. Yet another blast of petrafication gas pours across the two of you. Xanadu’s breathing becomes laboured, and his limbs begin to seize. The leader of the assailants takes this opportunity to leap back onto the rope and begin climbing back out of the Gorgon’s lair.

You turn to advance on the Gorgon, but find your limbs heavy and not responsive. Glancing down at your legs, you find stone encasing them from the shin down. Unable to move you swing your enchanted staff at the lurking man. He parries the weapon, but holds his distance.
Xanadu is relentless, even with his limbs seizing as yours are he stands his ground. His weapon lifts and falls in time with the angry roars he shouts into the darkness that envelops the pair of you down here, surrounded by enemies. Fresh Gorgon blood mixed with the assailant’s blood on Xanadu’s pick.
The final man reaches the ground and moves around to the opposite side of you. “Beware the Dwarf.” The wounded man calls over to his companion, gesturing with his head down toward the dead man. “We’re only here for her.” The new man says, blade up as he advances on you. His companion seems reluctant to attack so you focus on batting aside the new man’s attacks, keeping his blade from your partially petrified flesh.
The Gorgon lunges, swinging it’s head to stab Xanadu in the face with it’s single horn. At the last moment your magic tugs it back and the horn misses by a hair’s breadth.
If you had time to look up between attacks, you might have noticed the assailant’s leader finish climbing out of the hole. Unfortunately, with your limbs not responding and a pair of enemies that seem intent on ending your life, you are unaware.
It’s your turn Myst. At the end of your turn I will need a DC 13 con save to avoid turning to stone.

You call upon the powers of your people, and watch as water leeches out of the ground and the air itself. Even the sweat on the brow of your enemies gathers around the blade he wields against you. He still tries to stab you, but with the extra weight of the ice, it's easy enough to dodge. The wounded man seems to have found his courage, and moves in to attack you again as well. Xanadu moves to slam his pick into the creature once more, but is knocked back as the beast slams it's horn right through Xanadu's stomach. You actually see the tip of the horn sticking out his back from where you're standing.

You pivot, slamming your shillelagh into the man's ribs with a loud crack. You're not sure of the sounds was from the impact itself or from the man's ribs shattering under the weight of the blow. Xanadu ducks low, and uses his whole body to drive the Gorgon's head up with his shield. Xanadu slams his pick into the Gorgon's exposed neck, ripping the blade of the weapon out with a massive spray of blood and faded green gas. A halo of platinum surrounds the weapon, and flecks of platinum fade as they drift away from Xanadu himself. Two awful sounds happen one right after the other. The first is the sound of metal rending metal as Xanadu's weapon rips through the Gorgon's flesh. The second is the pained bellow the creature manages. In spite of the wound, the Gorgon still makes a weak swing of it's horn. Somehow this beast is still clinging to life, and looking between the two of them you're not really sure how either of them is standing right now. The only remaining assailant looked away from you as he attacked when the Gorgon bellowed, missing entirely. The two of you pause for just a moment as you both watch the violence taking place only ten feet away from you. Simultaneously, you both lock eyes and the battle for your lives is back on.

You swing your staff and the man smacks it away, shattering the ice that was incasing his blade. You smoothly pivot, and bring the other end of your staff into his ribs. He grunts with the pain of the blow. He glances down at his faceless companion, then up to where his leader was sitting. He looks worried, and his eyes are scanning for ways to get out of this situation alive.
Xanadu shoulders the creature's head aside, and spins in a tight circle to slam his pick into the creature's side. The creature bellows in pain again, a little of the gas escaping it's mouth as it collapses to the ground. Your roots and vines quickly surround the creature, holding it still. As the Gorgon falls, the man that was attacking you swears an oath and disengages from combat. He runs to the rope and begins climbing. He manages to get about ten feet up, but still within your melee reach if you want to continue attacking him.

Turning her attention to the man currently climbing the rope, she calls her water to her and coats the rope in ice. "Not so fast! You're going to answer some questions first." She says as she takes a step towards him pointing her staff at him cautiously. Intending to hit him if he tried anything stupid. Now that the Gorgon was dead she felt like she could breath at least a small sigh of relief, though that would be short lived as she didn't know why these men were after her. She had a feeling it was cause of that invisible voice but she also wasn't sure, maybe they were the people who had killed Madame Aceso.

The man attempts to climb the rope, ignoring the ice. He slips and slides and gets no purchase. A moment later he slides back to the ground. You feel Xanadu touch your shoulder, and a wave of platinum flecks washes over you. (+4hp) "I'm not going to answer your questions, so you might as well kill me." The man says as he turns to face you and Xanadu. "Looks like you two could use a break. You know, a chance to mend those wounds before the rest of us arrive." He points up the hole where his leader escaped. "You didn't kill us all, now we know where you are. It's only a matter of time before they hunt you down, and if you're lucky, kill you."

The man laughs, "Maybe you didn't hear me, so I'll say it again. I'm not going to ans-" His words are cut off abruptly as Xanadu smashes him in the face with his fist. The man crumples to the floor. Xanadu grabs him by his collar and hauls him to his feet, "You might be afraid of your boss, or your companions. But they're not here, and I am." He grabs a fist full of the man's hair and forces him to look at the ruined face of his companion. "Before your friends arrive, I can make you look like that, but without the blessing of death." The man takes a moment to focus his eyes, first on Xanadu then on the faceless corpse. Then he laughs again, "Do your worst Dwarf. My boss would make whatever you have in mind seem like a day at the spa." Xanadu raises his fist again, but looks to you before he lets the blow fall. You're not sure the man can take another hit in his current state.

The man looks at your hand, watching the moisture coalesce around your skin. He swallows hard, clearly scared that you will follow through with your threats. In spite of his obvious fear, he holds fast. Quietly repeating, "I'm not going to answer your questions, so you might as well kill me." Only this time he mouths the words, "I'm sorry." Before he closes his eyes and accepts his fate. It seems that you're terrifying when you want to be, but whomever his boss is scares him more. Xanadu punches the man again, knocking him unconscious. "We don't have time to mess around with him. If what he said about his friends is true, then we have to get moving."
Xanadu touches his belt with one hand, and runs his other hand over the worst of his wounds with the other. Platinum flecks of light dance from his fingertips and the wounds knit themselves shut. He's still wounded, but no longer bleeding everywhere.

Xanadu stops you before you take down your rope. "Let me lower down the barrel first." Then he sets to work climbing the rope back to the top. A moment later the rope itself begins to ascend, and for a moment you think that Xanadu might be abandoning you down here. Taking even a moment to think about it brings you to the truth: He's tying the barrel with the rope to lower it down to you now that the threat has past. Almost as soon as the thoughts are done flowing across your mind you see the now wrapped barrel tipping over the side and descending steadily in six inch increments. Once you have the barrel, Xanadu descends the rope. You gather all your belongings and Xanadu hoists the barrel again, "Where to?" That's when it hits you. The next part is almost entirely a maze of pitch black under water passages. Without the stone to guide you, how do you plan on getting where you're going?

Xanadu cocks his head to one side, "What's wrong? You're looking a little more turquoise than blue." When you explain the situation, he nods seemingly unperturbed. "Then we start to map it out. You know the starting place, and you know the final destination. I can't breath under water, but I believe you can?" When you confirm, he nods again. "So you dive in, trail a rope behind you. By my estimate we have about one hundred and fifty feet of rope here." He gestures to his own, and another two lengths of rope on the bodies, "Explore each tunnel as you find it, if it seems familiar we proceed from there." He attacks problems from such a logical perspective, one step at a time. It makes sense, but the feeling of fear and doubt weigh down on you like the stones above your head crashing down on your heart. What if you can't find it? What if those men come back? What if you do find it and they're waiting for you? What if the barrel leaks? Is broken? So many thoughts tumble over one another.
