Trumpets peel, and drums pound out a lively beat. The atmosphere in the streets is one of revelry. When you approach one of the main through fairs of the city, you come across a parade. Dozens of very attractive young men and women dance along the streets, stopping from time to time to speak with someone briefly before circling back into the dance with their companions. Behind the dancers, are a pair of soldiers or guards riding on jungle cats with saddles. One rides a tiger with bright orange and black stripes. Another rides a panther, it's fur black as night. A priest comes next, he rides an elephant with tusks as long as you are tall, perhaps taller. Another pair of guards on jungle cats follows the priest. Lastly, the band follows behind, keeping everything moving with an energetic beat.
All of the dancers, the soldiers and the priest wear a gauntlet on their left hands. The dancers wear simple leather, the soldiers wear thick leather with metal plates, and the priest wears a full metal plate gauntlet. The whole lot wear gray, but the dancers clothing has been cut into long ribbons so when they spin, flashes of the flesh beneath show. The lengths of cloth accentuate the dancers movements and heighten the effect of their dancing. The priest addresses the gathering crowd from time to time along the route, "Come one, come all. Experience what Quietus the Everlasting can do for you." or "Those faithful to Quietus the Everlasting age more slowly." or "Our Temple's grand opening is today, come check it out for yourselves."

Orellow looks at this entire ordeal with a due amount of suspicion. First he'll check the animals. If they're abused or mistreated in anyway Orellow should be able to tell. Anyone who mistreats a beast is surely no one good. However the living for longer is quite an interesting idea, longer to live means longer to carry out his ambitions. So he'll follow along with the crowd and see what the big deal is. Plus a little detective work might be able to lower his debt with the Fingers. Assuming this isn't once of theirs to start with.

The animals seem well tended, the jungle cats have been recently brushed, and the elephant's tusks have been polished until they shine. It even looks like the beast's teeth have been brushed. Following along behind the parade other groups of dancers, more animals and other musicians join from other crossing streets. The parade makes it's way toward the High District, and by the time you can see the gate itself the parade is truly impressive. It's clear to you that this parade was planned well in advance. Each group that joins the main host merges seamlessly.
Once inside the gates to High District groups break off from the main host to block off side roads so that those following end up going the correct direction. When you finally arrive at the temple itself, small groups are taken on tours of the facilities. Attractive men and women offer guests cups of wine, and various appetizers. The temple itself is set up like most temples, with rows of pews facing an alter. The pews are surprisingly comfortable. The walls are decorated with images of fountains, and attractive people. All the people in the images wear a gauntlet on their left hand.
When your group is taken through the main chapel, your group is approached by a fellow in gray clerical vestments. The man wears an ornate metal gauntlet on his left hand. "Good day to you all, welcome to the Quietus Temple. Is there something I can help you with?"

Orellow will quietly hang back observing what there is to see. Listening to the guide. The group should ask the questions for him but just in case Orellow has a small list he wants answered and will ask them if need be. Namely, he wants to know what they believe in, their dogma as it were. Who is Quietest? Why they have decided to come to a town that is obviously dominated by Pelor worshipers. Why he hasn't heard of this God before? What do they offer as a religion? What are their stances in this world and the next? And other such things like that.

Those that follow Quietus believe in everlasting life, holding onto their youth far longer than should be possible. They believe in knowledge and learning, which only makes sense if you plan on living a really long time. They wish to eradicate sickness and disease, helping those afflicted to become healthy once more. Quietus was a mortal priest, abandoned against staggering odds. Having found a way to survive, Quietus has only recently ascended to Godhood. Those that follow of Pelor, and those that follow Quietus should get along just fine, with both holding domain in healing.
When the group moves on, the priest gestures for you to stay behind, "I can see that you have questions. My name is Zephyr, and I am the Lifebringer of this temple. What would you like to know?" The man's voice is deep, with a musical quality. He looks young, but you feel like his eyes have seen more years than his face would have you believe, or maybe he is just wise beyond his years.

Orellow looks at the man for a time. He gets flash backs to The Lightbringer, this one sharing many of the same qualities and even a similar aura. He shakes off the feeling and resumes his usual demeanor. "Greetings Mr. Zephyr" Orellow booms. "I am Orellow Avnec, Seeker of Truth and Warrior of the Green" He bows. "I am not much of a religious man but your claims of a longer life are certainly catching" He laughs and proceeds with his questioning. Asking what tenants they have, how they let you live longer and what types of knowledge and learning they're interested in.

The man goes into some clearly prepared material, things he must have said quite a few times before. Even though he has clearly said these things before, he somehow makes you feel like you're the only one in the room with him. His attention wraps around you like a blanket on a cool night, and his zealous belief is catching. He believes so strongly, and is so charismatic that you feel yourself wanting to believe right along side him. He uses no magic that you are aware of, and he never touches you while he speaks. You even see Avarice sitting in a pew, steadily kicking her feet while she listens, but she is listening...
The faith is not all that rigid in their belief structure, how you choose to venerate Quietus is up to you. Faithful are encouraged to help others live longer, healthier lives. To never stop learning, as knowledge feeds your brain like exercise feeds the body. Most of the faithful are non-violent, because violence often leads to wounds and death. Both of which run counter to the healing and life vibe they seem to be going for. A small portion of the faithful actively seek out and eliminate threats from the world, Zephyr explains that he believes you would be good in that roll based on your equipment.
Small services are held three times a day, about an hour after when most people take their meals. The services are little more than a guided prayer, but those that attend them regularly often speak about feeling rejuvenated. The services are not mandatory, and you're not required to attend a specific amount of services.

Orellow explains that attending services aren't too convenient give his line of work. He's often outside the city more times than he's in it but it certainly sounds interesting, would there be work for a rough and tumble type like himself? He has high consideration to join if nothing else then to gain further influence among the Fingers. Infiltration of other religions is always favored upon, especially when they're good aligned. Though he won't mention as such, obviously

"For those with true faith. It doesn't matter where you pray." He raises his hand to his chin, looking up slightly in thought, "There is always work to be done, and not just for the clerics with their healing. This city has competing thieves guilds, and their work often results in the pain and suffering of innocent people as their battles spill out into the light of day." He smashes his fist into his gauntleted hand with a metallic tink. "If you want work, I can arrange some whether you join our ranks or not."

"Rending those who slink in the dark to protect ones who walk in the light? Certainly a job I would be happy to assist" Orellow grins. "Do tell what it is you seek"

"I don't have time to speak on it today, with the grand opening going on and all. Perhaps tomorrow? Say around noon, this is going to be an all day affair." The priest smiles like he's put out by the effort, but you get the feeling that he's going to enjoy his work for the rest of the day. Before you get a chance to respond, and Noblewoman steps between you and the Priest and begins speaking as if it's her right. She's dressed as if she belongs in a palace, and the four muscle bound men with cudgels standing a little to the side rest hands on hilts in case you object too strongly to her interruption. The priest mouths the words "Noon tomorrow." over the woman's shoulder, before devoting his full attention back to her.

Orellow will hop back from the Noble woman with a smile. Giving her back a gracious bow and offering a quick nod for each of her muscled men before taking his leave. Tomorrow at Noon. Should be interesting.
