Alundra : a feisty woman of her mid-twenties, using spells to augment her naturally sneaky abilities. Likely to place her around level 7, Rogue3/Sorcerer4 going into Arcane Trickster. She heads off the Mercenary Guild in Vaeles, seeing to it that what needs to be done, gets done. Unfortunately for the city, she is thoroughly Chaotic, and only accepts requests based on her own personal whim - anything that she doesn't agree with, she'll have some reason or another why she can't fill that job. She has a partner of sorts, a lower-level Fighter, who is essentially a brick wall of a man with a brass-studded cudgel.
Kieran Longspear : A bright star among the legions of Vaeles guards, Kieran frequently ends up as the "face" for whatever group of three he's patrolling with. He is open and personable, and gets along with most people fairly easily, which is why he's often assigned to patrol the poor residential areas of the city, to increase the general perception of the Guard in general there. As his name suggests, his primary weapon is a longspear, which he carries with him on patrols. Unlike the majority of the guard, he wears an actual breastplate, which he purchased on his own coin, much the same as he did with his spear. It's said that he - along with Alundra and a friend they had who's since passed away - have fought and successfully brought down a dragon. When either Alundra or Kieran are asked about it, however, they simply smirk, and refuse to say anything on the matter.

Athea : The owner/operator of the Tranquility Inn, Athea is a woman in her early twenties, a girl-next-door type in appearance, preferring dresses in soft colors or flower patterns. Rarely seen without her clean white apron, she seems to be perpetually smiling, and always tries to see the best in everyone. In many ways, she practically "is" her bar, seeming to be constantly attached to it and working on one thing or another. Somehow, however, she seems to know almost everyone in the city, as the Inn tends to be a great gathering place for all sorts. The exception to this, of course, is the more shady individuals, but they tend not to like the unnerving feeling the Inn's magic gives them, preferring to not be affected by unknown magics.
Catharine and Gwen Hayleigh : Catherine is the woman at the fore of the Silver Lamp, the city's most well-known general store. Gwen is her teenaged half-orc daughter, who has the unfortunate luck to have gotten the short end of her father's genes, and as such, is stuck at a lower intellectual level than other girls her age. Gwen's mood can swing quickly, from happily humming while she goes about sweeping the shop, to pouting after being chastised for one thing or another. For her part, Catharine protects her daughter fiercely, and will kick anyone out of her store that makes fun of Gwen, even if they were going to make a purchase. In her mind, her daughter's pride is worth more than any sale could bring. As the head of the general store, Catharine makes a point of remaining in close contact with as many craftsmen as she can, to keep a steady flow of goods coming into her shop. As a result of this, the Silver Lamp has gained a reputation for being the place to go if you need any well-crafted gear; If she doesn't have it in stock, she probably knows someone who does, or can make it.
Zephrodias : The head of the Mage's Guild, and an incredibly powerful, albeit remarkably old Wizard. It is said that nothing happens inside the Tower without him knowing, and that all of the tower's defenses can be altered at his whim, without him moving from his office chair. Some claim that he is closer to Archmastery than any human has been in three generations, though when he is approached about such things, he dismisses the questioner out of hand as a mindless power-seeker.
Despite this apparent dismissal of anyone seeking greater power, however, Zephrodias himself is rumored as being on the hunt for the location of Alhambra, an ancient Wizard's tower situated on a convergence of Vethedar's ley lines - a place said to be teeming with natural, magical power. Sometimes, he enlists young acolytes - with or without entourages outside the Guild, though anyone outside the Guild's members is kept in the dark as to the purpose of the mission - to perform tasks for him related to this, finding some obscure minor artifact while he focuses his own considerable abilities on his research.
Other people to flesh out Clergy of Amia and Arctus Current head of the Vaeles military Blacksmith (sticking with Farmian?) Other Mages? Vaeles council?
