This may be a little on the obvious side, but I've just made a pretty sweeping change to the forum - I've deleted every non-sticky message that was older than 30 days as of the date I'm posting this. This is because, with the death of the board as a Vethedar roleplaying site, I'm going to completely and utterly change over its purpose.
I'm still interested in Vethedar, and feel it holds a great deal of promise - as well as a warm spot in my heart. To that end, this site will survive. However, I no longer have the drive or time to maintain a fully active site with regular replies to dozens of members. This is no longer what I would like to use this site for. From this posting on, this site will be dedicated for use as my own personal sounding board to flesh out Vethedar - and I have some pretty broad changes to Vethedar as a setting in mind, as well.
As a sounding board, this will essentially mean that I am going to post ideas, streams of thought, and, potentially, final information regarding Vethedar as a world. Each thread I create will remain open; Please, by all means, give me your thoughts on anything I post. I'm well aware that my ideas seem good to me, on my own merits, but may sound silly to anyone reading them. To this end, anyone can effectively act as a proofreader, giving me your opinions on anything being written as I post it up.
Outside of this purpose, I'd like for this site to remain a hub of sorts, for web-based play. Unfortunately, Proboards doesn't provide us with proper accoutrements for doing so; I'd like to eventually upgrade to a proper site, complete with character sheets, map systems and die rollers. Until then, it will be up to individual DMs to provide their own management for such things. I'll also work to provide a community as best I can with regard to these things, and may, when I've revamped Vethedar from its current state enough, run a game myself, but in much smaller scale than I was previously attempting.
So, to anyone who wishes to help me develop a world, let me thank you well in advance. And to anyone who wants to just hang out and make this the place to be for online roleplaying... by all means, feel free, and let me know what I could do to better facilitate your games!
